Enquiries
When you contact us or ask for a survey we collect your name, business, email, phone number (if given), site details and message, and use them to reply, arrange a survey and prepare a proposal. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in dealing with business enquiries, or taking steps at your request before a contract. Enquiries sent through the website form are delivered to our email inbox.
Business contacts we approach
We contact businesses that may benefit from EV charging, such as hotels, venues and car park operators, using business contact details from public sources such as the business's own website, Companies House and business directories. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in promoting our services to businesses. Every email says who we are, and you can opt out at any time by replying or emailing us.
Charging sessions
When you use one of our chargers we process the charger used, session times, energy delivered and payment references from our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers. We use this to take payment, provide receipts and refunds, run and maintain the chargers, and report usage to site owners without your contact details. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in running the network.
This website
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and loads nothing from third parties.
Who we share it with
Our payment provider, our charge point management platform, IT and email providers, and professional advisers where needed. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not go ahead: up to 24 months.
- Business contacts: until you object or the details are no longer relevant. If you opt out we keep a minimal record so we do not contact you again.
- Contract, session and payment records: as long as the agreement and tax law require.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct, delete or restrict it. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Email hello@victuscharging.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
